The company processes a large number of sales orders every day and relies heavily on a robust digital infrastructure to keep operations running smoothly. IGEPA uses Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 as its central ERP system. With growing digital demands and increasing data volumes, the company turned to Fresh Dynamics for reliable integration solutions.

Challenge

IGEPA needed powerful and flexible connectors to streamline data exchange between the internal ERP system and external platforms. The company wanted real-time insight into customer prices, the ability to simulate and validate sales orders, and a reliable way to manage large volumes of data between systems—without compromising performance.

Our Solutions

In collaboration with IGEPA, Fresh Dynamics developed and implemented three high-performance connectors:

  1. Magento Connector: Real-time Sales Order Simulation
    The first connector links Dynamics AX 2012 to Magento, IGEPA’s e-commerce platform. This connector exchanges master data and synchronizes sales orders and customer data (such as customer creation and address updates) in both directions. A unique feature of this connector is the sales order simulation. This allows IGEPA to view a sales order in real time before it is finalized. As soon as a sales order is created in Magento, the connector triggers a simulation in AX 2012, displaying all associated product costs, surcharges, and logistics data. This functionality gives the sales team immediate insight into the impact of each order, supporting better decision-making and customer communication.

  2. Customer-specific Price Connector: Accurate, Dynamic Pricing
    The second connector focuses on packaging calculations and customer-specific pricing. It connects AX 2012 to IGEPA customers' systems and provides real-time access to current prices per individual customer. This allows IGEPA customers to view their personalized pricing directly within their own systems.

  3. Betty Blocks Connector: File-based Data Exchange
    The third connector integrates Dynamics AX 2012 with IGEPA's Betty Blocks applications. Unlike the previous two, this connector is not middleware-based, but works through file exchange. Data sets such as product information, sales data, and customer data are pushed from AX 2012 to a shared cloud file location. From there, the Betty Blocks application automatically retrieves the data.

The Future

Looking ahead, Fresh Dynamics will continue to support IGEPA in further developing the sales order simulation to make it even more accurate and user-friendly. Additionally, IGEPA is preparing for the implementation of a new Warehouse Management System (WMS) outside of Dynamics AX 2012. Fresh Dynamics will assist in this transition by managing the complex data migration process.
